Basic Job Functions:Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Melt Shop Day Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing Melt Shop teammates while fostering a culture of safety, ownership, engagement, and teamwork. This role serves as a key resource for operating crews and works closely with other departments to ensure cross-departmental alignment and consistency. The Melt Shop Day Supervisor will establish and maintain clear expectations, develop and implement best practices, and ensure consistent execution across the area of responsibility. This position will also participate in long-term strategic planning for the department and division and support continuous improvement efforts. The successful candidate will lead one of the following Melt Shop areas: Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Ladle Metallurgy Furnace (LMF) / Degasser Caster Refractory Raw Materials Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience at a steel mill
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled in leveraging innovative technologies, including AI
  • Previous Ladle Metallurgy Furnace (LMF) Experience
