About The Position

Since 1977, Sojourner Center has been a safe haven from domestic violence for women and their children in Arizona. Since our founding, we have transformed lives by providing shelter and support services to more than 60,000 adults and children affected by domestic violence. We provide a broad spectrum of services to victims of domestic violence, while working with professionals in the field on education, research and advocacy with the goal of ending domestic violence. In support of the Sojourner Center mission, provides support and resources for individuals and families with a focus on addressing trauma related to domestic violence through case management, support groups, and safety planning within the framework of a variety of programs. Responsible for the flow of shift and directing the crisis shelter and transitional housing staff; facilitates classes offered on/off site and holds on-call responsibilities. Coordinates with the Crisis Shelter Program Manager to ensure program elements follow trauma-informed approach and align with Sojourner Center philosophy of care. Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday: 12:00pm - 11:00pm (Holds on-call responsibilities) Rate of Pay: $22.00/hour ($23.10/hr. with Spanish-English bilingual assessment)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or any relevant field, plus one year related experience, including case management; or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and work experience in family violence programs.
  • One year of supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of automobile insurance and Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to Sojourner Center’s insurance company.

  • Bilingual Spanish-English strongly preferred. Language Assessment will be administered.
