Responsibilities Responsible for daily operations of the vascular laboratory with duties including but not limited to performing high quality diagnostic non-invasive vascular examinations involving disorders affecting the vascular systems, providing accurate medical descriptions and preliminary interpretations (verbal and written) for physician review and operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
Requirements
- Certified by: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARDMS (RVT), OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography ARRT (VS). OR
- All sonographers must obtain certification within twelve months of eligibility or cross training.
- Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices
Nice To Haves
- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound, vascular technology
- Registered Vascular Technologist with two (2) years vascular related experience
- Performs extracranial cerebrovascular, peripheral venous, peripheral arterial and visceral exams
