About The Position

The Sheet Metal Assembler works with formed metal components to assemble finished parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision in a production environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in sheet metal assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aviation or aerospace manufacturing
  • Familiarity with riveting and aircraft sheet metal assembly techniques
  • Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and install aviation sheet metal components for PSTOL flaps and aluminum struts.
  • Lay out, assemble, and install sheet metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Install hardware including rivets, blind rivets, bolts, and screws.
  • Measure and mark materials using precision tools such as rulers, squares, and scribes.
  • Trim, grind, deburr, and smooth metal surfaces to ensure proper fit and finish.
  • Assemble components using rivets, bolts, screws, and other fastening methods.
  • Manufacture or assist in the production of aircraft components.
  • Verify parts meet specifications and quality standards
  • Inspect finished assemblies for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all shop safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the production and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules
