Join the leadership team at the Sharonville Transmission Plant, a critical hub in Ford’s manufacturing footprint. Sharonville is the production home of the 10R Gas and Hybrid transmissions, as well as the 6R transmission—the propulsion systems powering Ford’s most iconic vehicles, including the Expedition, Transit, Econoline, and the world’s best-selling truck, the Super Duty (F-250 through F-550). We are seeking a strategic, high-energy Plant Controller to serve as the primary financial interface for the Plant Operating Committee. In this role, you will not only manage the bottom line but also act as a business partner, helping to define strategies that optimize volume, eliminate waste, and drive long-term profitability. The ideal candidate is a "change agent" who possesses a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for modernizing financial operations through technology and best practices.

Requirements

  • MBA with a focus in Finance or Accounting.
  • Previous Controller experience.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Analytical Rigor: Excellent analytical ability, high attention to detail, and a proven track record of data-driven decision-making.
  • Mindset: A self-starter and quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modern system tools such as Alteryx, Power BI,
  • PowerApps, Python, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the Plant Operating Committee to develop and execute strategies that deliver production volumes and enhance plant profitability.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development, deployment, and management of the annual budget across all operational departments.
  • Operational Partnership: Interface daily with the operating team to identify, analyze, and resolve cost-related challenges.
  • Waste Elimination: Develop and implement comprehensive cost roadmaps focused on lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction.
  • Executive Reporting: Present the Cost Operating System and financial performance metrics to the Operating Committee (OCM).
  • Business Case Development: Conduct rigorous business case analyses to identify and capitalize on optimal cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supply Chain Financials: Proactively manage and pursue cost recoveries from suppliers related to part shortages and quality issues.
  • Financial Integrity: Oversee the monthly closing and forecasting processes while ensuring strict adherence to internal control requirements and corporate governance.
  • Digital Transformation: Identify and implement emerging technologies to modernize plant operations and enhance the efficiency of the Controller’s office.
  • Strategy & Business Case Modeling: Ability to translate complex operational data into actionable financial strategies.
  • Advanced Cost Management: Expertise in manufacturing accounting and cost-control systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead partners outside of the finance function.
  • Digital Fluency: Proficiency in data analytics and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx).
