About The Position

THE SHARED SERVICES LEADER – AMERICAS POSITION SUPPORTS CORPORATE FINANCE PRACTICES AND OBJECTIVES THAT DRIVE A HIGH PERFORMANCE CULTURE EMPHASIZING EMPOWERMENT, QUALITY, PRODUCTIVITY AND STANDARDS, GOAL ATTAINMENT AND ETHICS. THIS POSITION SUPPORTS FINANCE POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND PROGRAMS FOR 3 DISTINCT BUSINESS SEGMENTS, REPORTS TO THE CAO - VP CONTROLLER.  THE SHARED SERVICES LEADER -AMERICAS WILL PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND LEADERSHIP TO CREATE REGIONAL SHARED SERVICE CENTERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.  THE POSITION HAS RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations, shared services, or financial operations
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related back-office finance functions
  • Direct experience managing or building a shared service center, particularly in a multi-entity or multinational environment
  • Strong background in process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement, including workflow tools and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience leading cross-functional or global teams, including matrixed leadership across regions
  • Demonstrated success in driving transformation initiatives
  • Centralization of finance processes
  • ERP implementations or upgrades
  • Deployment of automation tools (RPA, OCR, workflow systems)
  • Working knowledge of internal controls and SOX/compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting or leading global expansion efforts, ideally within Europe or Asia
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including collaboration with executive leadership, regional finance teams, and operational teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Direct team resources to process AP/AR for all US company sites taken into account government compliance requirements for certain sites.
  • Manage team of AP/AR clerks, with annual volume of 35,000 invoices
  • Process AP disbursements for all US company sites.
  • Support a scalable process for AP/AR for any US locations in the group.
  • Streamline AP/AR Processing. Evaluate different technologies and processes with IT resource to further streamline AP/AR creating the capacity to pull in additional work without adding resources.
  • Support a centralized scalable process for travel expense reporting for any US locations of the group.
  • Streamline travel processing. Evaluate different processes to further streamline travel processing and accounting.
  • Manage processes and audits T&E reports for different sites in USA and globally.
  • Prepare Monthly AP/AR reconciliation
  • Perform monthly for SOX controls
  • Help Corporate tax with Government audit for income tax or sales tax
  • Work closely with global supply chain group on cost reduction projects
  • Provide ad hoc assistance, analysis and reporting as required by management
