About The Position

Our Retirement team combines expertise in retirement, actuarial, compliance and administration consulting to support global organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering, and communicating all types of retirement plans. Whether a client has a defined benefit pension, and/or a defined contribution plan, we collaborate with the organization to determine the right approach to design, funding, investing, governing, compliance, administration and employee engagement that fits their specific goals. You will contribute to our national project delivery team and make a valuable difference every day to our high-profile client organizations focusing on governance & compliance. One of the fastest growing areas of our retirement business is assisting clients with various special projects requiring compliance expertise. You will have the opportunity to significantly enhance your knowledge of all aspects of benefit plan compliance, design and operation, employ the most cutting-edge tools and resources and work with some of the world’s experts in retirement plan design and management and interact with a national group of colleagues on project delivery.

Requirements

  • Current college student (at least a junior) required, preferably in a program with heavy emphasis on business and/or law or pursuing a degree in Legal Studies, English, or a related field with strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong interest in employee benefits law, ERISA compliance, and governance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a close team environment.
  • Accepting applications from candidates graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Assist our attorneys and consultants in delivering compliance and governance solutions for retirement plans.
  • Support drafting and amending plan documents, conducting legal research, and preparing regulatory filings under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Help with project coordination and document management to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of ERISA compliance and plan governance through instructor-led, self-study, and on-the-job training opportunities.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and participant communications.
  • Conduct legal research on ERISA and related regulations using firm resources.
  • Organize and maintain plan-related documents and support filing requirements with government agencies.
  • Work cooperatively with attorneys, consultants, and other team members to complete tasks and special projects.
  • Learn and use WTW tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training activities.
  • Be accountable to team members and contribute to a collaborative environment.
