About The Position

Be the second to the President who serves as the liaison from SGA Vice Presidents to the President and advisors at all club representative meetings. Will meet with the advisor weekly. The SGA Chief of Staff oversees all SGA Vice Presidents in compliance with the SGA constitution and will have the authority to set up working groups to meet to evaluate specific club-oriented issues or concerns. Will be tasked to meet with the SGA advisors to discuss SGA programming and interaction with all students and student organizations as needed.

Requirements

Undergraduate student currently enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University
Must maintain and uphold a 2.5 GPA semesterly
Must be in good standing with Mount St. Joseph University
Must have served on the SGA Executive Board for one semester

Responsibilities

Uphold and enforce the provisions of the Constitution
Assist in making immediate necessary decisions concerning the Student Government
Assist in resolving any disputes over the interpretation of the Constitution, with advice from the SGA Advisor
Attend all meetings of the Student Government Association
Assist in approving stipends for the elected SGA members
Have the right to call meetings to order between the Executive Board and Committee chairs as necessary.
Preside in the absence of the President
Hold meetings with Vice Presidents to advise, support their initiatives, and ensure Committees are progressing effectively
Will enforce the General Assembly to follow its constitution and the modified Robert’s Rules of Order in its operations during meetings.
Serve as a student representative for a university wide committee
