We are currently seeking a Sexual Assault Advocate. General Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Sexual Assault Services, the Sexual Assault Advocate will provide crisis counseling and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and human sexual trafficking. This employee coordinates and facilitates community education (bringing awareness about Tri-Valley Haven’s services) and prevention education (healthy relationship, anti-trafficking, and affirmative consent classes) at local schools. General Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred with one year's experience working with survivors of sexual assault. One-year experience in a non-profit setting. Knowledge of issues surrounding survivors of sexual assault, basic de-escalation skills and the ability to work independently, manage time and tasks effectively. Knowledge of violence toward women and children’s issues. Bilingual/ Fluent Spanish preferred. Completion of agency provided 70-hour DV/SA training within 6 months of employment.
