About The Position
CLINICIAN YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES FEE FOR SESSION Thrive Behavioral Health, the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic for Kent County, has been delivering mental health and substance use services since 1976. General Summary: Provide assessment evaluations, outpatient short-term psychotherapy and linkage with community service agencies. Schedule: Per diem Location: Warwick, RI Salary: $40-$50 per session, depending on licensure. Requirements
- Master’s Degree in the human service field of social work or counseling.
- Basic computer literacy skills are necessary.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards law , or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the job responsibilities/tasks are necessary for community-based positions.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum (2) years’ experience working with clients with disabilities preferred.
- Experience or training in related state and federal assistance programs also preferred.
- Licensed at an independent level (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) preferred, LCSW and Associate-level clinicians will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide initial assessment and intake evaluation.
- Provide individual, couples, family or group counseling within the scope of one’s competencies.
- Provide crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement recovery plans and document services consistent with Thrive standards and/or insurance requirements.
- Collaborate with other providers, agencies, insurance companies and individuals in the client's network of care.
- Provide relapse prevention, discharge planning, follow-up and aftercare.
- Provide education, training, and modeling in basic daily living skills, social or parenting skills.
- Teach clients effective techniques for managing their medication as prescribed.
- Coordinate community resources, transportation for client, and referrals to appropriate resources including services within Thrive.
- Assist clients in developing and strengthening their support network to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations.
- Ensure clients have appropriate medical coverage at all times.
- Accompany clients to community appointments, provides advocacy as needed.
- Schedule and maintain client hours sufficient to achieve individual / program billing targets
- Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive’s Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.
