About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Services Specialist performs set-ups, deliveries, cleaning, and upkeep of academic buildings. Regular schedule is Monday through Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Weekends scheduled on a rotating basis, dependent upon demand. Position Status: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $17.50 - $18.50. This is the expected hourly rate for this position.

Requirements

Willingness to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
Valid driver’s license.
Competence with technology, such as work order or scheduling software.
Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
Ability to work independently and with supervision.
Ability to solve problems that arise during the evening shift.

Responsibilities

Completes routine and special set-ups and take-downs throughout campus.
Moves furniture as directed.
Receives outside deliveries and disperses according to direction.
Performs custodial duties throughout campus, including arranging classrooms, cleaning and restocking lavatories, as needed.
Maintains service equipment, ensuring its good condition and proper use.
Shovels snow and de-ices steps and walkways as directed.
Reports equipment and items in buildings that require repair.
Interfaces with work order and scheduling software for up-to-date information regarding daily tasks.
Completes assigned work orders and, when needed, generates new work orders.
Assists other departments as needed.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
