About The Position

As a ServiceNow Technical Lead / Architect, you’ll lead the overall design and development of multiple ServiceNow applications across several projects. You’ll provide technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for the ServiceNow development team members. You’ll support customers and end-users to define their requirements based on the latest ServiceNow architecture to ensure the success of the project. Your design will set the standard for future development, so you’ll craft an architecture that smoothly works with existing infrastructure without compromising security. Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices. Stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation. Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations. Perform unit, system, and integration testing. Debug and fix technical problems. Support the development of detailed technical documentation. Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users. Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration. Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen is Required
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required
  • A minimum of NINE (9) years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree
  • A Minimum of FIVE (5 ) years of experience with ServiceNow development, including process automation (orchestration), client scripts, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, data imports, custom apps, and web services integration (SOAP, REST)
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Strong domain expertise in at least two ServiceNow platform applications: HR Service Management, IT Operations Management (ITOM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Enterprise Asset Management, Customer Service Management (CSM), CSM - Financial Service Operations (FSO), Integrations, and Automation Engine.
  • Implementation experience and expertise in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Common Services Data Model (CSDM), App Engine, GenAI, and Agentic AI.
  • Designing and implementing IT and non-IT related process workflows, procedures, and technical standards.
  • Experienced in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, including client requirement analysis and system design
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Certified Systems Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications in two application areas (Including CSM, SPM, HRSD, ITOM) required

Nice To Haves

  • Agile SAFe, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or ITIL v4 certifications are preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/Science
  • Experience with Web development, including X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery or Angular, and one or more of the following back-end technologies: JavaScript, PHP, .NET, Java, or ColdFusion integrations in ServiceNow
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
