About The Position

EvoTech is seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the implementation, customization, and ongoing development of ServiceNow applications in alignment with IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow solutions that enhance service delivery, automation, and operational efficiency across enterprise IT environments. The ServiceNow Developer will work closely with IT leadership and stakeholders to translate conceptual requirements into scalable technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Responsibilities include development, administration, integration, documentation, testing, and technical support. This position is primarily remote, with limited on-site or travel requirements as mission needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting the development, implementation, administration, and configuration of the ServiceNow platform or equivalent tools.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering ITIL and IT Service Management solutions within enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure and service management operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components, including: ServiceNow scripting Service Desk Incident, Change, and Problem Management Asset Management Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Knowledge Management Service Request Management
  • Experience with ServiceNow data integration, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft O365 cloud environments.
  • Experience with SCCM package deployment and reporting.
  • Experience reviewing BigFix reports and supporting remediation efforts.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint environments.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully obtaining and maintaining the required federal security clearance, as applicable to the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and maintain ServiceNow modules, workflows, and applications to meet business and operational requirements.
  • Develop scripts using ServiceNow scripting tools and platform functionality to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Implement ServiceNow application solutions based on conceptual and technical design requirements.
  • Receive functional and technical specifications from IT leadership and deliver releases that meet defined requirements.
  • Load, manipulate, and maintain data between ServiceNow and external systems.
  • Develop test plans, perform system and integration testing, and support deployment activities using sample and live data.
  • Perform installation, testing, and validation of vendor-provided updates, patches, and new ServiceNow releases.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow-related issues.
  • Communicate ServiceNow processes, capabilities, and operational impacts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing platform maintenance, enhancements, and optimization efforts.
  • Perform other duties as required to support program and mission objectives.
  • Support ServiceNow development, configuration, integration, and maintenance activities.
  • Implement ITSM solutions across modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, Configuration (CMDB), Knowledge, and Service Request Management.
  • Apply ITIL-aligned service management practices within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Support system administration, release management, and platform governance.
  • Assist with reporting, dashboards, and performance tracking within ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operational alignment.
  • Work closely with IT leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, configurations, scripts, and system changes.
  • Support knowledge transfer, documentation updates, and operational runbooks.
  • Contribute to system documentation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance automation, workflows, and system performance.
  • Support improvements to ServiceNow processes and platform utilization.
  • Stay current on ServiceNow best practices, updates, and emerging platform capabilities.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous service improvement initiatives.
