About The Position

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a ServiceNow Developer , the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following: Develop and manage integrations between ServiceNow and BMC Remedy, often involving ticket creation, data synchronization, and CMDB consolidation Build and customize applications on the ServiceNow platform, including ITSM modules like Incident, Problem, and Change Management Create and manage data migration processes from Remedy to ServiceNow using tools like Import Sets, Transform Maps, and data sources Create custom scripts, including Business Rules and Script Includes, to automate processes and meet business requirements Perform administrative tasks, such as user and role management, system maintenance, and health checks Customize user interfaces, forms, and workflows to align with business needs Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for issues related to integrated processes and platform functionality Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products Participate in IT-related technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement Maintain current ServiceNow and industry certifications, while obtaining additional certifications WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Developer must have: Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Experience in developing and customizing ServiceNow applications and modules, especially ITSM
  • Familiarity with BMC Remedy and/or Helix development and administration, including its ITSM applications and data structures
  • Experience with integration methods like SOAP, REST, and web services, including creating and consuming them
  • Scripting skill with at least one language - preferably JavaScript
  • Exposure to ServiceNow's data management tools such as Import Sets, Transform Maps, and the CMDB
  • Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle, from smoke test to integration to production deployment
  • Ability to identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with customer value streams
  • Organizational and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment
  • Ability to identify and learn new technologies quickly
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator or ability to obtain within 30 days of start
