About The Position

The ServiceNow Architect is the technical authority responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing the ServiceNow ecosystem with a primary focus on CMDB data architecture, CSDM alignment, and ITOM Discovery accuracy and maturity. This role ensures that the platform’s data model, integrations, and workflows are built to support scalable, reliable, and compliant enterprise operations. You will lead architectural decisions, guide platform strategy, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure that ServiceNow delivers measurable value. You will be supported by ServiceNow Developers and Business Analysts and will report to the Delivery Executive or ITSM Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, including large-scale environments (5,000+ users).
  • Expert-level experience with CMDB, CSDM, ITOM Discovery, and ITSM/ITAM processes.
  • ServiceNow Architect or Developer certification required.
  • Strong scripting experience (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Pages, UI Macros, etc.).
  • Experience deploying new ServiceNow instances or implementing major modules.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX concepts and portal design.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, govern, and continuously improve the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, normalization, reconciliation, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead CSDM adoption and alignment, mapping services, applications, and infrastructure to the correct CSDM domains and stages.
  • Design and optimize ITOM Discovery, including patterns, probes, credentials, schedules, and MID Server strategy.
  • Establish CMDB governance, data quality KPIs, dashboards, and operational processes.
  • Ensure CMDB supports ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, SecOps, and business service mapping needs.
  • Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow modules including: Incident, Problem, Change, Request Service Catalog Knowledge Asset Management Discovery & CMDB Self-Service Portal
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Develop and enforce architectural standards, coding practices, and platform governance.
  • Architect and implement integrations using APIs, MID Servers, IntegrationHub, and web services.
  • Implement core platform components such as LDAP, SSO, Discovery, and orchestration workflows.
  • Build automation and orchestration solutions to streamline IT operations and service delivery.
  • Oversee end-to-end platform health, performance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Manage configuration management, knowledgebase structure, reporting, interfaces, and licensing.
  • Conduct system and integration testing with sample and live data.
  • Support data migration, portal development, and catalog item design.
  • Work closely with IT leadership, support teams, and business units to define requirements and roadmap priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance to developers and analysts.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and architectural decisions to stakeholders.
