As a Service Technician your role will be pivotal in disassembling, cleaning, evaluating, and reassembling control valves and related components. By following AWC procedures and adhering to manufacturer specifications, you'll play a critical part in ensuring top-notch performance. This is a unique chance to make a real impact in the realm of industrial automation and process technology. How you’ll make an impact: Execute disassembly, cleaning, blasting, evaluation, painting, and testing of control valves and components as per AWC procedures and manufacturer specifications Analyze control valve issues and select optimal corrective actions Interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required Maintain precision and work within close tolerances to uphold product quality Read drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, and standard charts to determine procedural specifications Prioritize safety and quality to avoid rejections and ensure a secure working environment Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting critical deadlines while upholding quality standards Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, contributing to enhanced output, quality, and delivery

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 2+ years of experience in process valve testing, reconditioning, modification, and calibration
  • Proficiency in assembling and setting stops on quarter-turn actuators and valves
  • Ability to calibrate electro-pneumatic instruments and positioners
  • Skilled in quality tube bending and mounting instrumentation
  • Competent in conducting Factory Acceptance Testing and leak/hydrostatic testing as required
  • Proficient in commissioning electric actuators
  • Capable of safely wiring power sources to solenoids, actuators, etc

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, enabling effective selection of corrective actions
  • Proficient in interpreting schematics, drawings, and procedural instructions
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Collaborative team player with the flexibility to work in various settings
  • Adaptability to work both in a shop environment and at customer-owned facilities
