About The Position

SUMMARY: The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition and functionality of the property. This role performs routine maintenance, responds to service requests, and supports the preparation of apartment homes for new residents while ensuring a safe and well-maintained community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior maintenance, HVAC, or related experience preferred
  • EPA Universal Certification (Type I and II or Universal) required
  • Must maintain any required state or local certifications
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete work orders electronically
  • Fluency in English required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties as needed
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and use hands and tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Responsibilities

  • Completes service requests in a timely manner, including diagnosing issues and performing necessary repairs
  • Prepare apartment homes for move-in, including inspections, punch list completion, and coordinating with vendors as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and common areas
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory, and communicate supply needs to management
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety standards
  • Assist with general property upkeep, including cleaning, painting, and pressure washing as needed
  • Support cost control efforts by using materials and supplies efficiently
  • Interact with residents in a professional and respectful manner while addressing maintenance needs
  • Assist with property inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in required training
