This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. Key responsibilities include completing assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing defects according to established policies and safety standards. The role also involves managing the “make-ready” process for vacant apartment homes, which includes pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting completed work. Additionally, the Service Technician is responsible for tracking inventory, maintaining grounds and common areas through tasks like trash pickup, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting, and supporting cost-cutting initiatives by prioritizing repairs over replacements and using materials efficiently. Compliance with Greystar’s safety and risk-management policies, including attending safety meetings and reporting incidents, is also a crucial part of the role. The technician may also inspect work by contractors and assist in routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate property needs to management.
