In this role, you are next-in-line to the Service Manager and will operate daily maintenance responsibilities under their mentorship and direction. As a true extension of the Kairoi Servant Leadership team; you will ensure that resident’s homes are well maintained, the community is running at its best, and that vacant homes are fully prepared for their future residents.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in apartment home repair including general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical knowledge, along with mechanical and equipment repairs.
  • EPA and HVAC certifications, or the willingness to obtain them, are required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and a positive resident experience focused mentality.
  • Ability to work a flex schedule if necessary and a willingness to be on-call for emergencies.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident maintenance requests and concerns in a timely, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Be a key player in ensuring that vacant apartment homes are made ready for new residents.
  • Help organize and inventory maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Routinely assist in community inspections, and in keeping the community free of trash and debris.
  • Be in the on call rotation for after hour emergencies.
  • Be the Service Manager’s backup when they are unavailable and will be responsible for performing various community maintenance functions.
  • In time of an emergency, or on-call, be responsible for the completion of service tasks.
  • Keep an open communication with both your Service Manager and Community Director in regard to service and community updates.
  • Assist the Service Manager on any special maintenance projects such as preventive building maintenance, mechanical components, pool equipment and mechanics.
