This role is for an energetic Property Maintenance Technician, who will be the hero behind the scenes, ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and beautiful for residents. The position is located in Plainsboro, which offers residents a retreat from city life while still providing convenient access to NYC via NJ Transit, and is close to shopping, office parks, employment opportunities, and top-rated schools.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of property maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs.
  • A valid Driver’s License!
  • Comfortable using work order systems or mobile apps to track tasks.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
  • Problem-solving mindset, great attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • A friendly and professional approach to working with residents and team members.

  • Certifications are a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of repairs, from plumbing and electrical work to HVAC and appliance maintenance.
  • Complete make-readies for incoming residents.
  • Ensure the property looks its best by completing painting, carpentry, and general upkeep tasks.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies with confidence and efficiency.
  • Be able to work a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in top shape.
  • Work with the property management team to prioritize repairs and plan for larger projects.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance concerns quickly and professionally.
