About The Position

Service Technicians perform a wide range of duties internally to ensure the ongoing operation of the organization. These duties can range between sanitation, laundry, and nutritional services. Nutritional Services Technicians specifically perform a variety of functions while preparing, servicing, delivering, and cleaning up food.

Requirements

• Experience in a service industry.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a hospital.
• Experience handing money transactions.

Responsibilities

• Handles food throughout the cooking, serving, and cleaning process.
• Sanitizes and maintains work area and equipment. This may include washing dishes and pans.
• Ensuring proper temperatures are maintains while cooking and cleaning.
• Operates cash register and responsible for the cash flow from the customer.
• Documents processes and procedures as necessary.
• Performs inventory and ordering of supplies as necessary.
• Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
• Performs other duties as assigned
