Group/Division The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Seeking the motivated, the curious, the optimistic. The Intern in this role will champion a program to inventory, serialize, and catalogue specialized equipment used to support service operations. The objective is to streamline Tooling Operations. The job function comes with limited access to KLA Semiconductor Process Control (Semi-PC) and Chemical Analysis (ECI) equipment. The Intern will have the ability to shadow KLA Service Engineers in the KLA office and at the primary customer facility, during daily service operations. Candidates for this position have a working understanding of Microsoft Suite, and know how to communicate effectively across multiple channels and platforms (MS Teams, e-mail, text, video-conference, and in person). Time management and organizational skills are a must.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Engineering or Technical Engineering program at 2 or 4yr college (Optical, Electrical, Mechanical, IT/Computer Science)
  • Requires less than 1 year of related experience
  • working understanding of Microsoft Suite
  • know how to communicate effectively across multiple channels and platforms (MS Teams, e-mail, text, video-conference, and in person)
  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of / Experience with 6-Sigma process
