Responsibilities

  • Assist the Service Operations Manager with daily job duties and responsibilities.
  • Champion corporate and division customer service programs to meet or exceed customer service goals.
  • Assist in directing and supervising front‑end operations including: Customer traffic flow Checkout lane coverage Cleanliness and appearance of the front‑end sales floor, restrooms, front entryway, and parking lot
  • Maintain the fresh, full appearance of checkstand merchandisers and ensure checkstands are clean with proper signage.
  • Provide full support to the Customer Service Center and perform required services for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including: Cash handling Employee purchase rules Restricted product sales (alcohol and tobacco) Coupon and gift card policies Scan accuracy Supervision of minor employees Product return policy WIC requirements Sanitation, safety, and security Grooming and dress code standards Check acceptance policies
  • Report policy violations to store management promptly.
  • Ensure accurate operation and overall functionality of the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system.
  • Assist with and handle safe transactions, issues and pickups, till management, check acceptance, and refunds.
  • Monitor cashier cash handling procedures and accuracy.
  • Work with the Scan/FMC team to ensure scanning file errors are resolved quickly.
  • Perform financial-related tasks as needed, including: Running totals on tills Preparing and proofing daily deposit slips Completing front‑end forms
  • Report cash, scanning, or procedural issues to the Service Operations Manager for correction.
  • Serve as a cashier when needed to support customer service levels.
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately.
  • Understand all Customer Service Center processes to assist customers effectively.
  • Perform all duties with honesty, integrity, and adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out other necessary and assigned duties as required.
