RIS I is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant. AT&T is seeking a driven and solutions-oriented Service Project Manager: To lead and coordinate complex IT service projects as part of a large government contract. As the Service Project Manager, you will be responsible for resource allocation, project planning, risk management, and the direct oversight of cross-functional teams. You will serve as the key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are met on schedule and within budget, while maintaining clear and proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph).
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in two of the following: Demonstrated experience managing projects in large-scale, technical IT operations environments (e.g., event monitoring, security services, IP Telephony, VTC, systems implementation). Experience working with technical teams in highly specialized environments, including systems engineering and administration.
  • Technical & Professional Skills: Strong planning, organization, and resource management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience directing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to rapidly assess and respond to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Resource Allocation: Allocate and manage resources—including staffing, facilities, and budgets—across the contract to ensure project success and fulfillment of deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Review risk and mitigation activities, allocating budgets and resources to proactively address and resolve potential project obstacles.
  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules. Adjust priorities and timelines as necessary to meet evolving program and customer requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and direct the activities of the project team, providing clear guidance and direct tasking to Level 0, 1, and 2 project managers. Mentor project team members to promote professional growth and project success.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present project status reviews and other formal reviews to Government Project Managers and stakeholders. Communicate issues, risks, and solutions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Integration: Rapidly assemble and lead focused, cross-disciplinary Government/Contractor teams to address urgent or unexpected cost, schedule, or technical challenges. Ensure seamless integration and cooperation across all contract disciplines.
  • Interface Management: Collaborate and coordinate with multiple organizations—both internal and external—to ensure alignment and support for project objectives.
  • Operational Flexibility: Respond to after-hours requests as required in a 24x7 environment or as needed to meet program Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Technical Project Oversight: Oversee projects in highly technical IT environments, including event monitoring and management, security services, IP telephony, video teleconferencing, and new equipment or service implementations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational and process improvement, contributing to the development and refinement of best practices.
