About The Position

Service Program and Plans Analyst Key Role: Provide support to a Service Headquarters organization in the analysis of service programs and plans. Analyze and evaluate complex policies, processes, and systems for the integrated implementation of joint and service plans. Coordinate and collaborate with Service planners on national-level documents and contingency plans for the Joint Staff (JS). Advise and prepare senior leadership for decisions and key leader engagements related to Combatant Command operational plans, the Global Force Management (GFM) Enterprise of processes, and the related strategic documents and plans. Attend planning activities, working groups, and forums as required. Keep various Service, DoD, and JS stakeholders aligned on Service plans and implementation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with the DoD
  • 5+ years of experience supporting military planning and operational planning teams
  • Experience in Global Force Management (GFM) and the associated strategic documents, including GFMIG, GEF, JSCP, and CPG
  • Experience in the plans portfolios for the Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs) and the Functional Combatant Commands (FCCs)
  • Knowledge of military command structure, missions, roles, and organizational structures
  • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with coordinating across military branches on national policy, strategy, and plans
  • Experience with briefing military Officers or senior executive-level officials
  • Ability to adhere to guidance, policies, and regulations
  • Possession of excellent research and analysis skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Master's degree
  • Graduate of a Military Planners School, including SAW, SAMS, MOPC, or JAWS
