About The Position

The Opportunity: Manages a team of specialized E&I services technicians, typically through subordinate supervisors. Focuses on establishing objectives, plans, and tactics that directly impact the short-term operational outcomes (up to 1 year) of the department. Has P&L responsibility and is accountable for optimizing profitability of the department by managing different financial variables. May manage external vendors like third party service providers. Develops and implements processes, protocols, standards, or operational plans to align with and support the organization’s strategic goals. Addresses challenges that require interdisciplinary understanding and collaboration, leveraging best practices and expertise to analyze and solve complex issues involving multiple factors. Regularly communicates and collaborates with senior management and internal stakeholders on matters concerning the department operations and customer needs. Demonstrates advanced influence and persuasion skills to navigate sensitive and complex situations while fostering strong and effective relationships. ​ What we’re looking for Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or technology Experience: 10+ years’ service or related experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry 5 years leadership responsibility Proficiency in computers (Office 365, CRM) Experience in supervising personnel Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) Knowledge of Industrial Safety Proven Presentation and problem-solving skills. Direct and control the activities of the Service, Caribbean Metrology Center and Adchem Laboratory Departments. Fulfill the objectives of the corporation in an efficient and safe manner. Direct, participate and offer training to the personnel. Develops and decide with the managers of the different areas the departmental strategies. Responsible for the generation of process, protocols, and the execution of final reports for said activities. Recommend improvements to systems and processes and will generate departmental reports for management review. Determines departmental goals within broad outlines; including improvements in service processes. Approves departmental budgets for projects and programs and determine staff, training, and equipment needs. Hires and assigns resources and support personnel to carry out specific parts of each project. Supervises the overall performance of the departments. Establishes administrative and technical procedures and policies. Negotiates contracts with suppliers and clients. Evaluates managers of the Service, CMC and Validation departments. Organizes, coordinates, and participates in conventions and promotion activities for the company. Provides training and seminars in technical areas. Prepares compensation packages for the departments. Approves purchases for the departments. Develops managerial skills and leadership within the organization. Assures safety and health program for the departments. Prepares reports and supplemental data for meeting and presentation. Represents the company in meeting and conventions. Manages the personnel assigned to the different activities involved in Service, Caribbean Internal: This position will interact with employees and managers within the organization. External: Interacts with customers, vendors and regulatory agencies. Frequently moves about the areas in the distribution facility. Calculates, compares, copies, edits, evaluates, reads, interprets, plans, selects, notifies, detects, requests, inspects, observes, and organizes. Performs other duties as assigned. ENVIRONMENTAL Working Conditions & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Conditions) The work environment characteristics and physical effort described here are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an industrial warehouse environment. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The job requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases. Associate requires use of Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Shoes, Respirators, Gloves (rubber), safety glasses, lab covers, among others. associate may be expose to areas with penicillin, aspirin, alcohol, acetone, silicon oil, CO2, liquid nitrogen, paint (spray) and other fumes. The associate is required to stand and walk for most of the working day. The physical requirements of the job are for associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull. Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requirements
