About The Position

Service Lot Technician / Detailer (Motorcycle Endorsement Required) Reno Harley-Davidson Position Overview We’re looking for a driven Service Lot Technician/Detailer to support our high-volume service department. This role is critical to maintaining flow, presentation, and a premium Harley-Davidson customer experience. You’ll be responsible for everything from motorcycle movement and detailing to delivery readiness and lot organization. Key Responsibilities Motorcycle Handling & Lot Flow Safely move motorcycles between service drive, shop, wash area, and storage Stage bikes for technicians to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime Organize service lot for quick access and clean flow Assist with unit check-in, tagging, and proper parking Motorcycle Washing & Detailing Wash, dry, and detail motorcycles to showroom-level standards Ensure every unit is clean and customer-ready before pickup or delivery Maintain wash bay, detailing tools, and supplies Customer Deliveries & Experience Stage sold and serviced motorcycles for delivery Assist with customer handoff and delivery process when needed Ensure every bike presented reflects a premium Harley-Davidson experience Service Drive Support Keep service lane clean, clear, and organized at all times Assist Service Advisors with check-in/check-out flow Help manage peak traffic and maintain a smooth customer experience Inventory & Unit Control Track and maintain organization of all service units Assist with new unit arrivals and internal transfers Ensure keys, tags, and unit locations are accurate Facility & Lot Upkeep Maintain cleanliness of service department, parking areas, and wash stations Ensure showroom and service areas stay presentable and professional Support general dealership appearance standards Team Support Assist technicians and advisors with unit movement and staging Jump in wherever needed to keep operations running efficiently Follow all safety procedures and protect customer units at all times

Requirements

  • Valid motorcycle endorsement (required)
  • Confident handling and maneuvering motorcycles of all sizes
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
