About The Position

The Service Engineer I provides remote and on-site technical support to our customers across the US, Canada, and Mexico, utilizing a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service. This role focuses on repairs, process issues, and equipment optimization, serving as a trusted technical advisor. Responsibilities include conducting remote troubleshooting and diagnosis, as well as providing in-person support as needed at customer sites, including during the equipment installation process.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in design/repair/maintenance service of semiconductor industrial back end equipment required
  • Experience in semiconductor back-end process/equipment required
  • Adept analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel within the US, Canada, and Mexico on a frequent basis is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in root cause analysis preferred

Responsibilities

  • Repairs machines and conducts installations at customers' facilities
  • Installs hardware and software upgrades
  • Provides phone and email support to customers as needed
  • Troubleshoots machine issues and provides feedback to the factory regarding equipment performance
  • Conducts training courses at customer facilities
  • Assists Service Engineer II as assigned
  • Assists Applications and Testing Group as assigned
  • Supports Sales personnel by answering questions, forwarding information, and visiting customers when required
  • Supports Marketing personnel by collecting and reporting customer issues and demands
  • Promotes products and services in an appropriate manner, according to training received
  • Travels within the US, Canada, and Mexico as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
