About The Position

QinetiQ is seeking a highly motivated Service Desk Technician with strong system administration, PC technician and problem-solving skills to serve as a key member of our IT team providing support in the following areas:

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Service Desk Technician
  • Naturally curious and assertive problem solver, identifies a problem, creates a plan, and executes the plan successfully.
  • Experience supporting users in a cloud/hybrid Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Proficiency administering and troubleshooting Windows clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and convey technical information to executive/C-level management suite.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting a wide range of conference room technology and software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide rapid on site support to our executive/C-level management team on site in the Franklin office.
  • Respond to on site outages and emergencies and escalate to appropriate infrastructure team members as necessary.
  • Provide remote support to employees working off site (remote, satellite offices, etc.).
  • Accurately document and track all work within ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Provide first-line support and troubleshoot conference room technology, Windows-based workstations, LAN/WAN IP networks, digital & VoIP telephony systems, applications, and others as needed.
  • Actively create knowledge-base articles and contribute to employee self-help and internal IT documentation libraries.
