About The Position

The Service Desk Intern is responsible for providing support for Service Desk Analysts and/or Customer Service Engineers in providing support for basic incidents and request resolution and/or setup of equipment. When issues are beyond the scope of their ability or responsibility, they are responsible for escalating the incident or request to the appropriate team member.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Microsoft Office certifications are desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Information Technology and interpersonal skills with a desire for IT career.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Office certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Receive user calls and assist in problem determination, resolution and escalation.
  • Install hardware, software, components and peripheral equipment as directed.
  • Handle stressful situations with clarity and grace.
  • Maintain a work-order system and prioritize job requests.
  • Utilize Remote assistance tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a superior level of customer service at all times.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers through written and verbal methods.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
