Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a drug screen and a background check.
  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Able to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Dealership Management Systems (DMS) like ADP and CDK.
  • Math Skills: Ability to calculate discounts, interest, percentages, and accurately count cash.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, "cherry" disposition, and strong conflict de-escalation for handling upset clients.
  • The role often requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods and are expected to maintain a professional appearance as they represent the dealership.

Nice To Haves

  • Able to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming phone calls. Direct caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message.
  • Customer Intake: Greet guests as they arrive at the service department and determine the nature of the visit.
  • Sheduling: Book and manage service appointments for customers and staff.
  • Communication: Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Translate customer concerns into repair orders for technicians and notify team members when customers have arrived.
  • Information Source: Provide basic information on dealership policies, procedures, and service status. Communicate messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Assists with clerical duties as requested.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
