About The Position

Service Cashier Position Summary: The Service Department Cashier is responsible for driving customer retention by offering a polite and professional conclusion to the service experience. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the growth of the dealership's service operations. This is a full-time position that also includes a rotating Saturday schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Clean driving record and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting payment in card, cash, or check form.
  • Understanding and applying customer coupons and GM Rewards.
  • Making change accurately and maintaining an accurate and balanced cash drawer.
  • Assisting customers in the waiting room with questions and/or concerns.
  • Operating scanning system to scan closed repair orders into the dealership database
  • Assist in dispatching drivers to pick up customer vehicles, dealer trade vehicles, parts, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
