About The Position

The Service and Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in a dynamic, fast-paced utilities environment. This position is instrumental in efficiently processing and tracking all construction projects, ensuring they move seamlessly from initiation to completion. Meticulous attention to detail ensures the integrity of work order data. The Service and Logistics Coordinator coordinates all electric and gas meter sets, equipment maintenance, and serves as a bridge between members and CoServ personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalency.
  • One (1) year of office or workload logistics experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Programs: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Willingness and capability to learn new software and adapt to changing technologies.
  • Clear and professional responsive communication skills.
  • Work effectively both independently (with minimum supervision) and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills to address challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • One (1) year of experience in electric and/or gas utility industry
  • A working knowledge of CoServ’s service territory and the developers, builders, construction contractors working on CoServ’s system.
  • Actively contribute to cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
  • A working knowledge of CoServ's customer information and work order accounting systems (NISC iVue), work management system (IBM Maximo) and GIS Mapping (ArcGIS Map).
  • Understand or be willing to learn about single and three phase metering to ensure proper scheduling.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently process residential, commercial and industrial electric and gas meter releases from cities and other governmental entities.
  • Expertly coordinate with builders and members to establish accounts and initiate meter set process.
  • Proactively communicate with members, developers, and CoServ personnel on logistics related to electric and gas construction projects.
  • Strategically plan and coordinate appointments with Engineering Technicians for overhead and underground electric service and gas project requests from members and customers.
  • Accurately generate new meter service locations, utilizing GIS to obtain critical service location information such as coordinates, taxing, and utility service availability.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance for service addresses.
  • Strict adherence to department procedures when processing information from customer requests and other departments as well as investigating issues and complaints.
  • Engage in effective communication with builders and third-party contractors to expedite the processing and installation of electric and gas underground service line construction.
  • Ensure timely completion of electric and gas service orders by monitoring production of meter service contractors.
  • Daily collaboration with various departments to ensure heightened customer satisfaction and seamless project completion.
  • Provide support and valuable assistance to all internal and external customers, when addressing inquiries, requests, and/or issues.
  • Skillfully generate service orders and work orders for equipment maintenance, safety hazards and streetlight repair requests.
  • Complies with established CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures and guidelines including reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor.
  • Complies with established CoServ Information Security Handbook, policies, procedures, and guidelines including reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support.
  • Initiate closure process for construction projects to provide necessary information for accounting and GIS mapping system.
  • Proactively seek innovative solutions and take ownership of job responsibilities.
  • Engage in effective communication with pool companies and homeowners to expedite the review, processing, and approval of pool plan submissions.
  • Maintain meticulous digital records for construction projects.
  • Research locate tickets as requested.
  • Generate service requests for transocket invoicing as needed.
  • Assist in researching bankruptcy notifications for outstanding balances.
  • Attends CoServ University training as required.
  • Performs other duties and activities as directed.
