Summary of Position: A Service Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, performing and directing the repair and servicing of equipment. They have significant contact with company employees that use this equipment. Must routinely advise, consult, and help subordinates. Duties and Responsibilities: · Identify, diagnose, and perform equipment repairs · Responsible for equipment repair schedules and records, including meeting any deadlines or request by company employees · Must purchase any necessary parts to complete the repairs · Manage and maintain work environment safety, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to regulations · Hire, train, mentor, and manage shop employees · Responsible for Field Technician, parts and Technical support, as well as scheduling · Responsible for job site equipment repair scheduling and tire repair · Responsible for helping service advisor schedule outside repair, customer service, customer billing and payment collection · Safety training as required by position · Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed Essential Education and Qualifications: · Must have the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and basic knowledge of medium and heavy trucks · Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and customers · Experience in the automotive, truck and equipment maintenance industry Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
