About The Position

As a Service Advisor, you will act as the primary communication link between customers and service technicians. Your role is essential in ensuring customers receive timely, accurate, and professional service for their automotive needs. You will listen carefully to customer concerns, coordinate service and repairs, and manage customer expectations throughout the service process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of experience at a dealer-level or large service facility preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong customer service orientation and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency
  • Ability to follow instructions and comprehend technical information
  • Physically able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as necessary
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and professional appearance

Responsibilities

  • Schedule vehicle service appointments both in person and by phone to ensure prompt and accurate diagnostics
  • Provide updates on repair status, notify customers of any delays, and obtain authorization for changes in repair estimates
  • Recommend repairs and maintenance, managing customer expectations and service delivery effectively
  • Verify that all completed repairs have passed quality control and, when applicable, road tests
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle operations, warranties, service campaigns, and relevant regulations such as Technical Service Bulletins and state lemon laws
  • Meet or exceed all service level targets
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed and complies with company policies and legal requirements
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the dealership’s success
