About The Position

McMahon’s Best-One Tire & Auto Care is a family owned company that has been in business in Fort Wayne since 1969. Here at McMahon's Best-One, we are committed to our customers, the services we provide, our local community and to our fantastic employees. Currently, we are looking for a Service Advisor to join our team! The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling appointments, helping customers with their automotive needs and will act as the liaison between the customer and the technician. Other duties are as follows: Ensure paperwork is prepared for technicians immediately Ensure all paperwork is properly filled out, updated, completed, and closed according to McMahon Tire and customer standards; mileage, hours, unit #, PO, etc. Answer phones and greet and assist customers in a respectful and timely manner. Operate point of sale system to create work orders and invoice customers in a timely and efficient manner Compute sales prices, total purchases, and process payments Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies regarding payment, exchanges and returns, and security practices Open and close cash registers, including counting money, balancing drawers, and making deposits Generate computer bills Clean shelves, counters, and tables May act as a fill-in at our other retail locations as needed Meet the requirements outlined in the company’s employee handbook Other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and complete instructions.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
  • Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.
  • Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Valid driver’s license; driving record must meet company’s insurance requirements
  • Ongoing training is required per company’s standards
  • Must be competent in MS Word, Excel, and Maddenco
  • Ability to learn and operate point of sale system to create work orders and invoice customers in a timely and efficient manner

Responsibilities
