About The Position

Server (Full-Time, Part-Time & Seasonal) Location: Virginia Beach OceanfrontPay: Hourly + Tips Schedule: Flexible scheduling available (days, evenings, weekends, seasonal) The Cavalier Resort is hiring Servers to join multiple restaurants and dining venues across the resort. Opportunities are available in fine dining, rooftop dining, casual beachfront restaurants, and fast-paced service environments. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hospitality, fast-paced service, and creating memorable guest experiences. Servers may work in one or more of the following venues: Orion’s Roof – rooftop Asian-fusion dining Becca – upscale American cuisine The Hunt Room – tavern-style dining & craft cocktails The Raleigh Room – craft cocktail lounge Tulu Seaside Bar & Grill – coastal dining Tacos N Tequila – casual Mexican concept The Deck – oceanfront dining & cocktails We Scream Ice Cream – quick-service dessert outlet Breakfast service and dining outlets within Embassy Suites by Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort including Arbuckle’s Bar & Grill

Requirements

  • Restaurant server, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
  • Friendly personality with strong guest service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Comfortable carrying trays and standing for extended periods
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must meet Virginia requirements for alcohol service
  • Must be 18 years as required in compliance with all State, Federal & Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Previous high volume serving experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and friendly service to resort guests and visitors
  • Take food and beverage orders and make menu recommendations
  • Deliver drinks, meals, and desserts while ensuring quality and presentation
  • Process guest payments accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain clean dining areas and complete side work
  • Work closely with bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Create a welcoming and memorable dining experience for every guest
  • Know all aspects of the menu and daily specials.
  • Make specific suggestions of menu items, beverages while demonstrating the ability to up-sell.
  • Perform procedures for the ordering process from the initial greeting to the check presentation in accordance with the sequence of service and service timing standards set forth by the company.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations & alcohol awareness pertaining to service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Provide Guest Service using a tray to carry the properly plated food items & properly garnished drinks.
  • Anticipate guest needs, such as replenishing beverages & condiments.
  • Maintain accurate bank & act as own cashier as needed while adhering to all company cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain station cleanliness & organization throughout shift.
  • Complete all assigned opening, running, & closing side work.
