Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in the food industry
  • Knowledge and experience in Sensory Science
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Basic math and science knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of experience in the food industry
  • 1–3 years in a sensory evaluation role
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong sensory skills with prior experience evaluating raw materials and finished products

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate products using specified sensory methods and determine acceptability
  • Manage, prepare, and administer structured customer-specific sensory programs
  • Communicate results and collaborate with the Creative team
  • Recommend process improvements and lead research efforts supporting Quality and Creative groups
  • Maintain retain and Gold Standard libraries
  • Conduct sensory evaluation of raw materials and intermediate/finished flavors
  • Perform analytical testing as needed
  • Communicate with customers regarding shelf life and re-certifications
  • Provide technical assistance internally and externally
