About The Position

Sustainable Talent is partnering with Nvidia a global leader who's been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for over 25 years. We are looking for a Sensor Systems Technician to support our client's team onsite in Santa Clara, CA. This is a full-time (W-2) contract role. We offer competitive pay $95/hr - $100/hr based on factors like experience, education, location, etc. and provide full benefits, PTO, and amazing company culture! In this role you will work with our client's Hardware, Software and System engineers to validate the quality and performance of the sensors. Nvidia's Sensor System Engineering team is responsible for design, development and evaluation of reference sensors for NVIDIA products and platforms. The Sensor Systems Team works with many types of sensors (Camera, Radar, Lidar, Ultrasonic, IMU...). Each sensor type has its own unique characteristics and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Systems, or related) or equivalent experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in testing and debugging electronics /sensor prototypes. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Having a solid understanding of PC systems, along with proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and hands-on; thrives in a fast-paced lab/field environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate repeatable, and well-documented sensor test setups in the lab and in vehicle/track environments, including designing and fabricating custom fixtures, mounts, and enclosures to support evolving test needs.
  • Perform accurate field measurements and collect complete test context (conditions, settings, configurations, etc.) with clear, structured documentation to ensure data is reproducible and traceable.
  • Compile clear, timely test reports to summarize procedures, results, and conclusions, using supporting logs/photos and data visualizations (charts/graphs) to clearly communicate findings.
  • Own file and data management by maintaining organized folder structures, consistent naming/versioning for logs/configs/datasets, and proper data storage, backup, and sharing practices.
  • Diagnose error messages to pinpoint the source of issues and track script execution to identify where problems occur.
  • Demonstrate strong lab organization by maintaining clean, orderly workspaces; accurately labeling equipment and handling inventory; ensuring tools, fixtures, and test setups are stored and ready for action.
