About The Position

Do you enjoy designing and implementing innovative wellness programs that enhance employee health and engagement? Would you like to collaborate with campus partners to promote work-life balance and well-being initiatives? If so, University Human Resources (UHR) with Iowa State University is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Well-Being Specialist! This position will be classified as a Wellness Program Specialist III.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Experience planning and coordinating well-being events.
  • Experience creating and developing communications and promotional materials.
  • Experience in data analysis and outcome measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement programs that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using metrics and analytics; recommend improvements.
  • Organize and oversee wellness events and workshops; collaborate with vendors and partners.
  • Promote a culture of wellness through communications, marketing, and engagement strategies.
  • Plan, develop, and distribute regular communications following best practices in marketing and engagement.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and ensure integration of wellness platforms (e.g., Adventure2).
  • Plan and execute educational programs and special events (e.g., flu clinics, level-up awards).
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities to support wellness initiatives.
  • Consult with departments on engagement and retention strategies; share data and best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of health and wellness trends and apply insights to programs.
