About The Position

The Senior Web Performance Optimization Lead drives strategic direction and measurable growth in website performance across a portfolio of client accounts. Building on Infinity’s Web Performance pillars—Visibility, Experience, Conversion, and Optimization—this role leads the development of advanced performance strategies that align business goals, audience insights, and search trends across both traditional and AI-driven environments. As a senior subject-matter expert, this position translates complex performance data into clear, actionable strategies, prioritized roadmaps, and long-term optimization plans that elevate client outcomes. The Senior Lead oversees in-depth SEO and web performance initiatives, including technical audits, content and keyword strategy, and user experience improvements, while identifying high-impact opportunities that drive sustained visibility, engagement, and conversion growth. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to guide implementation, ensuring alignment across development, content, and broader digital strategy efforts. In addition to client-facing leadership, the Senior Web Performance Optimization Lead contributes to internal methodologies, supports scoping and planning of initiatives, and helps advance best practices across the organization. A strong focus on data-driven decision-making, industry trends, and emerging AI search technologies ensures strategies remain innovative, effective, and results-driven.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in SEO, website performance, or digital marketing.
  • Proficiency with SEMrush, GA4, Google Search Console, Clarity, and related SEO, user behavior, and analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategies that improve organic search visibility and website performance.
  • Advanced ability to interpret performance data and translate findings into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Experience implementing SEO recommendations in CMS environments (WordPress required; additional platforms a plus).
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, content optimization, and user experience considerations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present insights and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Professionalism and discretion with sensitive client or business information.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for developing and driving web performance strategies that improve website visibility and deliver measurable client growth across organic and AI-driven search environments.
  • Translates business objectives, audience insights, and search data into clear, prioritized roadmaps and strategic optimization plans that guide ongoing performance efforts.
  • Serves as a senior subject-matter expert in client engagements, delivering data-driven recommendations that support sustained, long-term growth.
  • Leads the evaluation of website content, structure, and technical SEO, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to enhance visibility, usability, and engagement.
  • Drives advanced keyword strategy, competitive analysis, and content gap identification to inform high-impact content and optimization initiatives.
  • Delivers performance reporting and insights, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations and prioritized next steps.
  • Oversees comprehensive SEO and web performance audits, ensuring continuous improvement across on-page optimization, internal linking, metadata, and site architecture.
  • Leverages behavioral data and performance signals to inform and advance conversion rate optimization and user experience strategies.
  • Provides strategic leadership for SEO across website builds, redesigns, and migrations, including technical direction, content strategy, metadata frameworks, and redirect planning.
  • Ensures effective execution of optimization strategies by partnering with internal teams and guiding implementation aligned with performance goals.
  • Establishes and maintains prioritization of optimization initiatives, focusing resources on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Contributes to business development efforts through input on proposals, scopes, and estimates for web performance initiatives.
  • Advances internal methodologies, documentation, and best practices to strengthen and scale web performance programs.
  • Maintains deep industry expertise by monitoring search trends, algorithm updates, and emerging AI-driven search experiences, ensuring strategies remain current and competitive.
  • Performs other related duties as needed to support overall web performance objectives.
