Job Overview The Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Operations of the company is responsible for directing the business to provide and ensure effective, maximum profitable operations and growth. Is accountable with the approval of the President and CEO for establishing formulation and execution of current and long-range objectives, development and implementation of the company’s basic organization, operating plans, and policies. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of services and programs. The COO will lead four vice presidents (Health Services, Senior Care and Managed Care, IT/Enterprise Services) and program models delivered across our service area. S/he will review on an ongoing basis the service being offered and develop new programs as needs emerge. They will be responsible for all activities on licensure, human rights, human capital, compliance, finance, and contracts. The COO will partner with other senior leaders while also being responsible for all program planning, growth, and the related strategies, organizing, operating, and staffing. S/he is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the program aspects of the annual budget in conjunction with the chief financial officer and CEO. S/he is responsible for ensuring that program services comply with all federal, state, funding, and city regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree is required. The degree should be in public health, social work, or an area related to the primary focus of the position unless the candidate has exceptional experience in the field.
  • Strong working knowledge of all major forms of public policy and organization.
  • Budgets and financial skills appropriate to the position, including the ability to use spreadsheets and basic word processing software.
  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical group management experience is highly preferred.
  • Gerontology experience preferred.
