About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Vice President, Global M&A Practice Leader to build, lead, and expand RGP's global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice. This executive will be responsible for defining our go-to-market strategy, driving revenue growth, developing client relationships, and delivering high-impact M&A solutions that create long-term value across the transaction lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across M&A strategy, due diligence, integration, and transformation, paired with a proven ability to sell, deliver, and scale advisory services in a consulting environment. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone energized by deal-making, organizational change, and client success; someone who combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership and the ability to inspire teams and clients alike. As a key member of our global leadership team, this individual will shape RGP's market position, collaborate across practices, and drive the next stage of growth for our M&A Practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Certifications in Change Management, M&A Integration, Project Management are a plus.
  • 15+ Years of Leadership Experience: In M&A advisory, corporate development, or integration leadership, advising C-suite executives and Boards.
  • Proven Success Building and Leading a $50M+ Global M&A Advisory Practice: Demonstrated track record of growing M&A, transaction services, or integration business within a professional services or consulting firm.
  • Innovation & Thought Leadership: AI-fluent and data-driven with a passion for reimagining traditional M&A models through digital tools, analytics, and insights that improve deal value and speed to synergy.
  • Business Development Acumen: Strong network of executive-level and private equity relationships and a track record of exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to build trusted partnerships with C-suite executives, articulate complex M&A concepts in business terms, and position RGP as a strategic advisor throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Strategic & Commercial Mindset: Experience designing M&A service offerings, integration playbooks, and delivery models that drive profitable growth and client success.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Proven ability to attract, inspire, develop, and lead global teams, while fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of excellence.
  • Executive Presence and Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, boards, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep Expertise Across M&A Lifecycle: M&A strategy, due diligence, merger integration, IPO readiness, process integration, and organizational change.
  • Available for travel to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Practice: Build and lead RGP's Global M&A Practice, including vision, strategy, go-to-market execution, revenue growth, profitability, client satisfaction, and brand differentiation across regions.
  • Drive Growth Develop and execute a global strategy that expands RGP's M&A advisory footprint, focusing on new client acquisition, account expansion, and multi-solution growth in collaboration with other practice leaders. This is a seller-doer leadership role with defined annual sales and delivery targets, leveraging both personal and RGP client relationships to drive growth and expand market presence.
  • Deliver Client Impact: Oversee the design and delivery of end-to-end M&A solutions that drive measurable value across all stages of the deal lifecycle, from due diligence through post-merger integration.
  • Shape Offerings & Market Position: Define and evolve RGP's M&A offerings across: Change & Transformation Management (Culture Alignment, Change Communications, Stakeholder Management, Organizational Readiness); Target Operating Model & Process Integration (Operating Model Design, End-to-End Process Mapping, Systems Integration, Cross-Functional Alignment); Merger Integration & Carve out and Separation (Integration/Separation Playbooks, Day One Readiness, Synergy Capture, Functional Integration, Leadership Alignment), IPO & Public Readiness (SEC & Financial Reporting Alignment, Governance Setup, Readiness Assessments, Internal Controls; Due Diligence (Financial & Operational Analysis, Risk Identification, Strategic Fit Evaluation, Deal Structure Support)
  • Develop and Strengthen Global Delivery Capability: Collaborate with RGP's global delivery teams to build, support, and enhance a world-class Global Delivery Center, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery and scalability across regions.
  • Build Talent Communities: Partner with regional and global leaders to develop, retain, and scale a community of high-performing M&A consultants and project professionals.
  • Champion Thought Leadership: Represent RGP externally at industry forums, contribute to market insights, and build market visibility on emerging M&A trends and integration best practices.
  • Collaborate Across Practices: Partner with colleagues across other practice areas to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions that address clients' most pressing challenges.
  • Ensure Excellence in Execution: Maintain the highest standards of client delivery, engagement profitability, and team performance across global engagements.
  • Deliver Results: Key performance metrics include revenue growth, gross margin, utilization, client satisfaction, and sales generation.
