About The Position

ASSYST is seeking a Senior Technology Trainer to lead the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs and technical documentation at Annapolis, Maryland (Remote Role). In this role, the senior technology trainer will support a diverse ecosystem of software, ranging from highly customized proprietary systems to the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Co-Pilot, SharePoint) and shall serve as the bridge between complex technical solutions and the end-users, ensuring seamless adoption and proficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Training Expertise: Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Technology Trainer, specifically with proprietary software and advanced M365 applications (Co-Pilot, OneNote, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Technical Writing: At least three (3) years of experience developing structured technical documentation and user manuals.
  • Instructional Tools: Proficiency in modern training development software, such as Camtasia, Articulate 360, and Vyond.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong commitment to high-level customer service when collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and deliver high-impact, hands-on Instructor-Led Training (ILT) for both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom proprietary applications.
  • Multimedia Content Creation: Author technical documentation, including Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) and web content, and produce engaging instructional videos using tools like Camtasia or Articulate 360.
  • Instructional Design: Apply adult learning principles to create interactive modules and training programs tailored to diverse user groups.
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of training projects—from initial needs assessment to final delivery—ensuring all milestones are met with high quality.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the Contract Manager to define project scopes, provide status updates, and ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and troubleshoot user-defined challenges, implementing creative instructional solutions to bridge knowledge gaps.
