Senior Technician - Equipment (Calibration)

The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discrete BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discrete BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Equipment Technician-Calibration. The right candidate will be calibrating the equipment used in the production of semiconductors. Will maintain calibration, PM, and asset systems or any other duties, as directed.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Metrology, calibration of manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment.
- Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
- Ability to interface with auditors.
- Experience in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, other test equipment for calibration, calibration standards, soldering irons and mechanical tools.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to use MS Office.

- Ability to interface with parts or service vendors
- Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics desired.
