Microchip’s Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discrete BU. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Equipment Technician-Calibration. The right candidate will be calibrating the equipment used in the production of semiconductors. Will maintain calibration, PM, and asset systems or any other duties, as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Metrology, calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment.
  • Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
  • Ability to interface with auditors.
  • Experience in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, other test equipment for calibration, calibration standards, soldering irons and mechanical tools.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to use MS Office.

  • Ability to interface with parts or service vendors
  • Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics desired.
