The Calibration Technician supports engine testing and development activities by calibrating, maintaining, and operating test instrumentation and measurement systems. This role ensures accurate data collection through proper calibration practices while supporting engine test facility operations and cross‑functional engineering teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or automotive/trade school education preferred.
  • Three or more years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a dynamometer or engine test facility environment.
  • Basic computer and electronics skills with the ability to read wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with industry calibration standards and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate recording and measuring devices used in the engine test facility.
  • Compile calibration reports and issue calibration certificates in accordance with industry standards.
  • Maintain, calibrate, repair, and operate engine and emissions test instrumentation.
  • Install instrumentation sensors onto units under test (UUTs) and wire circuits to data acquisition systems.
  • Support cylinder pressure measurement equipment setup and testing.
  • Assist with wiring and general setup activities in the engine test facility.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication with engineering, test, and quality teams.
