About The Position

The Calibration Technician is responsible for the calibration program for the organization, to ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards. The technician will perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment and will coordinate with outside parties as required to perform advance calibrations and/or repairs when needed. This role supports the Quality Management System (QMS) by ensuring equipment accuracy, traceability, and compliance across the site. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to perform calibration of mechanical, dimensional, temperature, pressure, and electrical measurement equipment
  • Ability to perform hand gauge calibration (i.e. calipers, micrometers, indicators, surface plates, ovens, thermocouples, and related tools
  • Knowledge of and recent experience with the management of calibration records and calibration management systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform alpha-numeric data entry quickly and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical procedures, specifications, and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; ERP software experience is advantageous
  • This role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15): An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or An individual who is granted status as a "protected person"

  • An associate degree or equivalent education in a relevant mechanical/technical program is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Calibrates and verifies a wide range of inspection and measuring equipment; performs scheduled and unscheduled calibrations of inspection and measuring equipment
  • Manages calibration intervals and ensures all equipment remains current and compliant; schedules and coordinates internal and external calibration activities
  • Maintains accurate calibration records, results, and traceability documentation within the calibration management system
  • Identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and supports corrective actions as required
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits related to calibration and measurement control
  • Maintain calibration standards, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
  • Completes other duties as required
  • Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
