As a technical writer with TCS, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional team inventing, designing, building, commercializing, and supporting products that reach a truly global customer base. The TCS approach to technical documentation is based on GenAI-powered efficiency, semantically-economical DITA XML, and a passion for user-centered outcomes. Requirements

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Advanced proficiency in technical writing skills.
Demonstrated leadership in areas of expertise, both functionally and cross-functionally.
4+ years of experience solving documentation problems using structured authoring approaches.
1+ years of technical documentation creation for software products, preferably APIs and/or SDKs
Demonstrated track record as a self-motivated, life-long learner in the field of technical writing and related technologies.

Nice To Haves

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Experience with API documentation standards (REST, OpenAPI, JSON)
Experience using and enhancing large-scale, enterprise-class content creation, maintenance, and publication solutions.
Experience using GenAI to create documentation.
Experience optimizing content for GenAI consumption.
Expertise with technologies related to technical writing, such as Git, Adobe Experience Manager, DITA, Markdown, Swagger, Redoc, Javadoc, Doxygen, Jekyll, XSL.
Amazing written communicator.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain the technical documentation that helps B2B clients and Visa staff understand how to implement and support Visa products.
Support diverse end-user personas, including API developers, business users, SDK developers, mainframe developers, users of UI-based products, and internal staff.
Use and enhance GenAI-powered solutions that drive the efficient creation of high-quality documentation.
Support omni-channel publishing that gets the right content to the right user through the right channel.
Build deep cross-functional partnerships (product managers, Client Services, architects, engineers) to identify and clarify requirements, understand business needs, and deliver required documentation.
Identify systems, architectures, and tools that support the requirements for documenting Visa products.
Passion for learning about the products you document.
Informally mentor others.
