About The Position

Proofpoint is looking for an experienced, Technical Recruiting Sourcer who thrives in complex hiring environments and can flex across teams as business needs evolve. This person will be a trusted partner to recruiters and hiring managers, capable of leading technical and engineering searches end-to-end while also jumping in to support non-technical roles across the organization. Think “utility player” with deep recruiting fundamentals and the judgment to prioritize what matters most.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sourcing or full-lifecycle recruiting experience, including significant experience hiring for technical and engineering roles.
  • Proven ability to source hard-to-find technical talent and explain complex roles credibly to candidates
  • Comfort recruiting across a range of job families (technical and non-technical) and adapting quickly to new domains
  • Strong stakeholder management skills—you can influence, push back when needed, and build trust with senior leaders
  • Excellent sourcing, screening, and closing skills with a candidate-first mindset
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
  • Data-informed, but not data-paralyzed—you use metrics to guide decisions and improve outcomes
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments (high-growth, scale-up, or matrixed orgs preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead top‑of‑funnel sourcing for a broad range of technical roles, focusing on identifying high‑impact engineering candidates across niche and competitive markets (software, infrastructure, security, data, etc.)
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand technical needs, role expectations, and team dynamics.
  • Design and refine sourcing strategies aimed at engaging passive candidates through research, outreach, and networking.
  • Qualify prospects through initial conversations, evaluate role alignment, and maintain strong communication throughout the funnel.
  • Track sourcing data, pipeline health, and conversion trends, sharing insights that improve hiring processes.
  • Help enhance candidate experience by ensuring thoughtful, timely, and personalized engagement.
  • Contribute to employer branding, interview best practices, and continuous improvement of recruiting operations
