About The Position

Omega Technical Services is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to support full life-cycle recruitment efforts for highly specialized technical positions serving U.S. government clients, including the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies. This role plays a strategic and hands-on part in identifying, attracting, and securing top-tier engineering, nuclear, project controls, and other technical professionals in competitive and compliance-driven environments. The Senior Technical Recruiter partners closely with hiring managers to develop targeted recruiting strategies, build proactive talent pipelines, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. This position offers significant professional growth within a high-impact federal recruiting environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience, including recruitment for technical roles supporting U.S. government clients (DOE, DoD, Department of State, etc.) or a combination of 5+ years of recruiting/HR exprience.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing engineering, nuclear, project controls, or other specialized technical talent.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, Indeed, or similar sourcing platforms.
  • Experience tailoring resumes to meet government contract labor categories and proposal requirements.
  • Working knowledge of federal employment regulations and EEO compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of compensation structures within government contracting environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential information.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior recruiting experience supporting DOE sites or nuclear facilities.
  • Experience with iCIMS, Unanet, Paycom, or similar HRIS/ATS platforms.
  • Experience supporting proposal recruiting and capture efforts.
  • Knowledge of labor category alignment and contract compliance considerations.
  • Experience coordinating relocation packages in accordance with federal contract guidelines.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full life-cycle recruitment for assigned technical and federal contract positions, including intake meetings, job description development, sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, reference checks, offer presentation, and candidate follow-through.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to build and maintain pipelines of qualified passive and active candidates.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define labor category requirements, technical qualifications, and recruiting strategies aligned with contract and compliance requirements.
  • Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, Indeed, professional associations, networking events, and direct outreach strategies.
  • Format and tailor resumes to align with client contract requirements and labor categories.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within the applicant tracking system and shared recruitment trackers.
  • Provide regular recruiting status updates and market feedback to hiring managers and leadership.
  • Support proposal efforts by identifying and pre-qualifying potential candidates for upcoming bids.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements.
  • Represent Omega at career fairs, professional conferences, networking events, and industry outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless onboarding and transition of new hires.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes, sourcing methods, and pipeline strategies.
  • Coordinate with third-party recruiting partners as needed to support urgent or specialized hiring needs.
  • Participate in recurring recruiting and stakeholder meetings to align on priorities and workforce planning.
